Kyle Chapman was jailed today 12/21 due to violating the conditions of his bail. The issue at hand is that he had a "Kubaton Keychain."
According to The East Bay Times Chapman,
posted publicly on Facebook, Chapman is seen off-roading in a truck in a state park in San Francisco. The truck, a Jeep-type vehicle, had Trump and American flags on it. A park ranger pulls it over and arrests Chapman, who is found in possession of a Kubaton key-chain, Chapman explains in one of his videos.
There are several kinds of Kubaton. This pretty well covers it.
A few years ago, they only made the black one that actually looks like a baton. It is not known which version "Based Stickman" was arrested for.
According to The East Bay Times, when Chapman was released on bond for the original "Based Stickman" incident seen around the world that catapulted him to prominence. A condition of allowing Chapman out on bail was that he have no lethal weapons. The Kubaton while small is a lethal weapon and advertised as such. The East Bay Time reported the Kubaton as lethal and assumedly Chapman's prosecuting attorney learned of that. The prosecution wanted to stick Chapman with a new higher bail of $500k, his attorney seems to have been able to get it down to $400k.
$400k minus the $135k that has already been paid will get Chapman out of jail.
Mr. Chapman was described as a "self-proclaimed American Nationalist." He seems to have had a few run-ins with vandals since his Berkley Battle in March when he was first arrested. According to Chapman via the East Bay Times, most if not all of his problems are politically related. I take it that means he doesn't just want to beat people up.
