Nick comes in at the 1 hour 45 minute mark

Inb4 "This Is Some Gay Drama"

Let's start with the night before the incident. Saturday 13th. James was live streaming a Grand Theft Auto session on YouTube alongside a discord voice chat. I was in attendance in the discord where Nick was chatting in the general channel for quite some time. All seemed well. The mood was lighthearted and larpy as ironic siegeposting and a lengthy anti-circumcision conversation was in full effect. As an independent observer, there were no discernible clues that Nick would be receiving a public "Dear John" letter only a few hours later.

In an effort to report on the imminent trainwreck that followed, I spent roughly 12 hours jumping back and forth between each of their discord servers to follow the fall out. This is the summary I was able to put together:

Historical Rundown

  • February 2017, Nick starts America First Podcast appearing on Right Side Broadcasting.
  • August of 2017,  James and Nick create Nationalist Review Podcast.
  • Shortly after, Matt Redacted enter into a general partnership each obtaining a third ownership of AFM.

According to both sides, there was some level of uncertainty about the cohesion of this joint project from the inception of the partnership.

James' Position:

  • Nick had unrealistic expectations of timely communication
  • Nick has a combative personality which makes him unapproachable

James' main argument for cutting ties with Nick seems to be that 'Nick is a prick'. James stated a couple popular figures/groups in our community were apprehensive about working with Nick due to his combative nature and propensity to discuss drama publicly. This was seen as a hindrance to expanding the America First Media brand.

Nick's Position:

  • James refused to communicate in a timely manner
  • James did not produce his fair share of content for AFM

Nick's main grievance with James is a lack of follow through and not pulling his weight with America First Media or Nationalist Review. It did not sit well with Nick that James was discussing a possible reoccurring gig on The Right Stuff podcast. Additionally, James had made an executive decision to rename the title of the Paul Nehlen interview without previously talking to Nick. An interview which had technical issues that prompted Nick to discuss spending company funds on a new computer. I'm not going to drill down into this part because it's pretty boring and if you've read thus far and haven't killed yourself, I don't want to push you over the edge. Let's just say it was another point of contention.

James and Matt claim to have emailed and text messaged Nick about resolving the differences and parting ways on Friday, January 12th but they did not receive a reply. Nick admits he intentional did not reply to the text message but did not receive an email. Nick claims to have been blind-sided by the tweet of him being fired from AFM.

And Then...

Following Nick's appearance on Beardson's show, he came to the America First Media discord voice channel where he was almost immediately kicked and then subsequently banned.

James explained it would not be advantageous to allow Nick to join the server at that time as they are currently in buy-out negotiations, Nick is noticeably upset and actively spreading incorrect information on public forums. Additionally, James cited a Washington state law which prevents voice recording of unknowing parties as it would be considered wiretapping.

So... What Happens Now?

To be quite honest, this drama isn't over by a long shot. If you are on Twitter dot com you probably see this torrid episode unfolding in a myriad of spicy memes, counter-signaling, bullying, fanboying, disavowals, and of course the dreaded ad-hominem attack.

From what I can see both sides are gearing up to defend their position while going on the offensive to protect their best interest.

Situations like these are exactly why we creating the Right Wing Gossip Squad category on AnimeRight.News.

In full disclosure, this is a challenging tale to chronicle as the Anime Right appreciates both parties, their content, and their efforts for the overall movement. To quote the President of the United States, "Some fine people on both sides". The Anime Right officially takes a 250 IQ centristfag stance on this matter.

You know what? I’m gonna tell you right now, this is from her father, you bunch of lying, no-good punks! And I know who it’s coming from, because I back-traced it, and I know who’s emailing and who’s doing it, and you’ve been reported to cyber police and the state police. You better not write one more thing or screw with my computer again, you’ll be arrested, end of conversation, from her father! And if you come near my daughter, guess what? Consequences will never be the same, you lying bunch of pricks!
