China Faces Reckoning Over Coronavirus Coverup

President Trump has confirmed that the US government and intelligence agencies are investigating if the coronavirus outbreak began at a Wuhan laboratory. Trump added that the lab origin story seems to make the most sense.

“They talk about a certain kind of bat, but that bat wasn’t in that area, but that bat wasn’t sold at that wet zone, it wasn’t sold there. That bat was 40 miles away. A lot of strange things are happening.”

General Mark Miley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that US Intelligence was looking at whether a Wuhan laboratory may have been the source of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is actually important to know the precise origins of the virus in order to successfully create a vaccine, this alone makes the Chinese coverup of the outbreak, back in December and January all the more damning and necessary for US military Intelligence to investigate.

UK foreign secretary Dominic Raab has also said China will have to answer hard questions on how the coronavirus outbreak happened and on whether it could have been prevented.

“There’s no doubt: we can’t have business as usual after this crisis, and we’ll have to ask the hard questions about how it came about and about how it could’ve been stopped earlier.”

President Trump has already canceled US funding for the World Health Organization after they clearly collaborated with China to coverup the severity of the coronavirus in the early stages when it could have been contained. The WHO even recommended that world trade continues with China during the crucial early stages.

Nick Fuentes gets the China situation spot on.

  1. China gay fam. Defending them in almost any capacity is cringe. I can think of no reason why any of us should be in support of china or any forgien nations.

  2. There’s nothing inherently wrong with lying.
Suppressing fear-mongering jоurnos in order to prevent economic and social instability is arguably a duty of government.
Preventing panic for the good of the your people is more important than some autistic devotion to the truth.

China is our geopolitical enemy, and we should find any excuse to fuck them.
But they’re just excuses, we shouldn’t take them seriously.

As Fuentes said, the root problem is the Americans not advocating for their self interest.
And for that, China does set an example of what we should aspire to be.
    Part of which, is that the Chinese government is actually run by the Hans Chinese people;
You can’t say the same for the American government.
There’s also the lack of political maneuverability and decisiveness inherent in democracies which caused the poor handling of the situation in the West.

All this blaming is good for politics, but no-one’s adressing the real problems here.

  3. It is cringe that ar14, Fuentes both buy the anti-China narrative, made up of lies only neo-cons should fall for.
By February 5, China had already punished 100 officials for misbehavior over handling the crisis; by March 17, 342 in Yunnan Province alone had been punished for wrongdoing. https://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1185859.shtml Xi’s China was already known for anticorruption campaigns, and here too the central government has cracked down on local officials, who so often want to cover up incipient problems.
Has there been a similar level of accountability in the US, in Europe, for letting the situation get so much worse than it ever got in China? Now, I am not taking either the alarmist or minimizing side here, but either way, China’s response has been much more effective than in the Western liberal countries. Conservative patriotards continue alleging a coverup, but forget that China is not North Korea; if they were massively hiding the scale of hospitalizations or deaths we would know from pre-deletion Sina Weibo posts, and there has certainly been no evidence that it ever got as bad in Hubei as in northern Italy or New York.
The CHINA CHINA CHINA blame party is a ruse to shy away from the inability of the elective republics to handle COVID-19.

    1. >100 officals were punished for wrongdoing
yeah more like they were punished for not covering up the true numbers. Go back to china you disghusting bug-eyed gook CCP shill.

    2. A hell of a lot of business’s have sold out to China over the years, they and China need to pay what they owe.
The issue of how the west has handled it, bad as it is, is a seperate issue that is mainly down to identity politics and diversity. As bad as it gets, it will force change, tik tok dancing videos not withstanding

      Also global times, really?
