Donald Trump has tweeted out a video slamming Google for clear political bias, using the hashtag #StopTheBias. The hashtag was first created on August 1st, by the Anime Right on Twitter to promote a petition to stop Twitter censorship and the violation of first amendment rights. This comes just a day after Trump made 2 tweets criticizing Google for suppressing voices of conservatives, and controlling what we can and cannot view. Stating that this is a very serious situation that will be addressed!
However almost immediately after Trump tweeted out #StopTheBias, Will Chamberlain and the New Right decided try to claim credit for the hashtag. Will Chamberlain and the New Right had recently decided to create their own petition instead of joining the #StopTheBias effort and petition, that was started a month ago. Will Chamberlain, instead of acting like a rational team player, has now decided to block anyone that understandably has decided to call him out on his blatant opportunism.
Regardless this is a tremendous victory for the thousands of people who helped push the #StopTheBias hashtag, a true grassroots effort. Many who have the exclusive blue checkmarks, including those on the New Right ignored the hashtag until President Trump decided to tweet about it. #StopTheBias is a result of the dedication and hard work of the thousands of people, who against all the odds, and twitter censorship and shadow banning, have managed to bring this to the attention of President Trump.
