The opportunity presented itself to interview the one and only Ricky Vaughn. I had to step up and grab the bull by the horns, both for the sake of the masses and mine. Frankly, I'm not trying to be a mimbo (male bimbo), weatherman all my life or even work at my racist friend's deli if I now get doxxed.
Even if Ricky Vaughn were to have berated me as a chud (an insult I still don't quite grasp), I stepped up and did the dew.
It was a good interview.
RickyVaugn99 as busy as I’m sure he is, graciously accepted my request for an interview. I and Anime Right News were thrilled to have him. Some people say he’s like an Alt Right Jack Bauer.
I’ll let you dear readers see if you concur with that assertion.
The Following Interview Took Place On March 13, 2018 between 1:05 and 2:10
Herr Ricken Dawg, thanks for taking the time to do this interview.
No problem, my friend. Anytime.
The last time we talked,
#PizzaGate had blown up. We touched on a few weird Christianity people too. I didn’t take you as one to entertain yourself with the lunatic fringe. You don’t watch the Conspiracy world on the side, do you?
I do not really pay a lot of attention to the conspiracy world, except as entertainment. I do not think it is productive to go down the conspiracy wormhole on a lot of issues, because by definition conspiracy theories are not proven. If a conspiracy theory is proven, then I start to pay more attention.
Definitely, I watch some of that weirdness to relax. Are you working non-stop or are you partial to a past-time?
I am partial to outdoor activities, playing sports, going to the gym, and going to local sporting events with family and friends.
The way to be.
Big one. Are you ready?
Were you a big fan of Charlie Sheen’s “Two And A Half Men?”
Haha. I did watch that show occasionally whenever a roommate was watching. It was funny. Not a huge fan though.
My Dad was a fan, it was okay imo
I mean… Charlie Sheen: men’s short shorts, the way Sheen crossed his legs in that show… How did everyone miss that Charlie Sheen was up to no good? Do you think it was all the trim featured in the show?
Yeah, I think so. Turns out he was quite the sick guy, huh?
He really is the poster child for the pitfalls of hedonism.
Sheen did a lot of comedy. I haven't seen The Major League movies in a long time. Was there anything you were particularly inspired by, in the Ricky Vaughn character to take on the avi?
I just liked the character, thought it was funny. The combination of brashness, serious affect, and being an outlaw made for a funny combination. Overall, a very funny, classic movie that everyone would remember and a character that everyone could identify.
Well Rick, a lot of people know you. I might venture to say people whom you don’t really need to know you, know you. You are definitely well established and if I’m not mistaken, by in large because of your Twitter career. You have a podcast now. I see and hear you are pushing for reform and rattling cages. I think I heard something about Real Politik and Optics. A lot of people are talking. Can you tell the Anime Right readers what you are trying to do and maybe what your vision is?
I believe that we have a problem of unproven and untested leaders on the alt-right, people who were "astroturfed" by the media into leaders. The problem is that they never proved they were worthy of leadership. Unfortunately, a lot of these guys made a series of mistakes, and even worse, didn't want to learn from those mistakes. A lot of people making constructive criticisms were shouted down. The alt-right needs to avoid the pitfall of thinking their ideas are enough to win in the arena of activism and politics, and begin to think pragmatically. The time for "redpilling" and arguments is over. We know what we want, we know the change that we want to see in our country, and we need to think pragmatically about how do we move the ball in that direction. I do not think that anything is achieved by rigidly reciting our ideologies, nor is anything achieved by unironically cosplaying as Nazis. Furthermore, the vast majority of the people involved with or interested in this movement love our nation, our God, and our country. Bitter losers filled with resentment who hate God and country are going to need to go and form their own movement.
I have some similar issues
So, I guess you’re doing a kind of media blitz to promote your angle. Do you have any more podcasts lined up soon?
Yes sir. I have some more good podcasts on the way. One with Pleasureman on some of the pitfalls of white identity and fringe politics. And another is going to be focused on concrete, pragmatic steps on getting involved in Republican politics from a guy who is actually doing it.
I'll have to be sure to download.
As you are trying to redirect and refocus what the "movement" is doing, have you thought about trying to break into the top 100 on the next MIT Election Influencers list? IIRC, you were 107...
Good question. The media landscape has changed so much since 2016. Twitter does not have the power it used to have. Trending topics used to mean something. Also, it used to be committed to free speech, so you could really push an angle hard. Now, the mystique has worn off as we have learned that it has become infested with bots. What's more, it has become infested with bored housewives LARPing as some kind of "resistance" movement. That being said, I think that there is a place for good propagandists leading up to the 2018 and 2020 elections. Will I be involved? Who knows.
The losers can be disheartening. I've been on and off for three years and, it's definitely different.
You started a podcast… you have what, three episodes? Do you want to tease anything that’s coming up? Where and when can everyone catch your show?
I know what you mean.
You are correct, three episodes have been released, and I teased two more episodes up above. That being said, I anticipate bringing more and more high quality guests on, and also improving audio quality in the months to come. You can catch the show on http://Soundcloud.com/rickyvaughncast or my YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI2aTxrp2Mh1b5CWQ2BIv4 ….
Very good. I know I like to listen to something on a walk or whatever, I'm sure other people will too.
For the final question, I wanted to do a James Lipton kind of thing. What is your favorite word? Is it chud?
Haha. The word chud came from the left-wing irony bros, actually. Currently, my favorite insult is mongoloid.
It's been real. Thank you for your time and thank you for your service, Herr Vaughn.
Anytime. I love the Anime Right!
