On Saturday, January 13 the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a far-left South African communist group, went on a rampage over a hoodie sold by the clothing company H&M for its overt racism.
The advertisement pictured below includes a young black boy wearing a green hoodie with the phrase, “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle” written on the front.
Floyd Mayweather also weighed in claiming “Black is beautiful.”
Earlier this week H&M issued an apology and it has since removed the advertisement from its website.
The mother of the child model also released a statement earlier this week calling for individuals to “…stop crying wolf all the time…” and for people to “…get over it.” I don’t think Diddy and Floyd got the message. I’m sure this won’t stop Terry, the child’s mother, from taking up Puff Daddy on his offer for a $1 Million Dollar contract.
Despite the apology from H&M and statement by the boy’s mother the EFF “fighters” took to the streets to respond in kind to what they call violence. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, the spokesman for the EFF, today tweeted out,
And confrontation ensued. Mr. Ndlozi released another statement on Twitter warning H&M that the consequences will never be the same!
I’m sure this won’t surprise anyone of the readers here at Anime Right News when I say there are now no H&M stores open in all of South Africa. They have all been destroyed. Something Floyd Shivambu, the Deputy President of the EFF, bragged about in a tweet.
Let us take a look at all of this destruction.

South African police released a statement saying they are monitoring the protests but have made no arrests so far. The use of rubber bullets to disperse of the crowds were used so far only one time.
The EFF and their leadership have not responded to a request for comment.
