On July 1st it was announced that the Houston Rocketsnow with I am Udoka on the bench they switched to Garuba already Washington for the hawks. The Spain international and former Real Madrid player was picked 23rd by the Rockets in the 2021 draft.
Garuba ended up in the NBA at the hands of some Rockets in complete reconstruction and installed themselves at the end of the west, so much so that in the 2021-2022 season they were the last in their conference (20-62) and last year they occupied the penultimate position (22-60).
The center played 24 games in his freshman season, averaging 10 minutes in which he averaged 2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. In his second year at the NBAand after overcoming the physical woes of his rookie course alongside his participation in the G League development league, Garuba increased his presence with the Rockets with 75 games played averaging 12.9 minutes, 3 points and 4 ,1 rebounds in a duel.
