Christian pastor, David Lynn, was arrested for disruption of peace on Tuesday while preaching in the Church-Wellesley Village.
Lynn's preaching and subsequent arrest on a live stream
It’s unfortunate that I am subject to this kind of discrimination and bullying and marginalization simply for saying God loves you, there is hope for you, I accept you and tolerate you. I shouldn’t be in this position, I didn’t do anything illegal. - David Lynn
Lynn spent the night in custody and appeared in court at College Park the next day. He was released under bail and on several conditions:
- He cannot be anywhere in an area bounded by Bloor Street, Yonge Street, Carlton Street, and Jarvis Street
- He cannot use an audio amplifier that would amplify his voice in the area.
- He must stay away from locations where Pride Month is occurring.
Imagine being punished in the west for preaching the word of God.
