MAKE IT STOP

A new Political Action Committee has recently debuted. It’s goal? Creating a more inclusive Republican Party.

This PAC is interestingly known as “Catalyst PAC.” Catalyst for what?

Catalyst had republican guests senator Tim Scott (South Carolina), representative Will Hurd (Texas), and representative Justin Amash (Michigan) at it’s debut.

Wait, the Will Hurd who was one of seven Republicans to break the Trump admin’s position and vote to end the government shutdown? And the Amash that called for Trump’s impeachment?

There’s no better time than now for the launch of this new PAC. For years, I’ve had conversations with Republicans around the country and across the ideological spectrum — about just what it means to support diverse voices in our Party. I’m delighted to be helping to lead this effort that’s walking that talk

Those behind Catalyst believe this is the best time to promote conservative values to other groups. Their goal is to create a Republican Party that is “more representative of America.”

The aim of CatalystPAC is to increase the variety of backgrounds represented in Congress, by supporting diverse Republican candidates running for Congress.

This means building a Republican Party that reflects the diversity of the American people, so we can bring the conservative message to new audiences and convey that our values are universal – so we should reflect what America looks like, as well.

I believe Catalyst PAC will help make the Republican Party more representative of America by supporting diverse candidates who believe in conservative values. The Republican Party and conservative movement must persuade diverse communities that the Democratic Party and Big Government advocates take them for granted and that we offer an alternative vision of real empowerment.

In addition to supporting candidates financially, Catalyst PAC seeks to share the stories of leaders who hail from diverse communities that are underrepresented in today’s Republican Party – and to change the larger media narrative that the conservative movement is a bigoted one.

- Website mission statement

The GOP cannot be comfortable merely finding voters and candidates in country clubs and rural areas
