Zeria, the self-appointed Chairman of the AnimeLeft, has come out with a live-action video production calling on the left to unify—to reclaim Anime from the right. For the most part, it focuses on non-domestic or superficial political issues like Japan not being Marxist enough, or left and right perception(s) regarding mediums like Anime.
Watch the video here if you hate yourself. I did.
We both have Z-names, so I’ll keep this short, unlike the 43+ minutes of our lives none of us we’ll ever get back. Most people more or less laughed at you, I’ll be completely honest, especially that afro—but let’s focus on pragmatic and tangible things beyond mere ideological decay.
You probably know us through things like Anime, particularly a certain tsundere, becoming “anti-Semitic.”
Jay Michaelson now works at the Daily Beast.
Although you have made your video primarily about the AnimeRight, a group endorsed by mainstream institutions like MSNBC and their political pundits such as Joy Reid, you've limited your critique solely to low-hanging fruit like that one QAnon boomer weeb—instead of daring to talk about its more unique elements.
Despite our support of Donald Trump, some of us were willing to undermine or even end his administration, due to the risk of war. Nuclear war, especially, represented a paramount issue that superseded traditional lines of engagement. This is because some of us put European life first, of course, but not everyone agrees with this.
Ironically, this was equivalent to giving the left political superweapons, but their inability to confront Jewish power in our countries prevented this—aside from certain exceptions like the aforementioned Reid. She was berated heavily for putting us on blast to millions, but if you ask me, the only reason she should be fired is for not telling the public about issues such as Genie Energy.
And look, now they're going to go to war with Venezuela too. Not cool.
Some former leftists I've talked to have told me that they were frustrated regarding these very same issues, so you Chairman should take note while you sip your tea, your own audience will notice such future failures.
Such destructive convictions obviously do not conform to the vast majority of the right-wing, but when deemed necessary, we were and still are willing to transcend imposed limits—instead of merely transitioning into mediocrity.
It's easy to talk about the average right-wing weeb.
Putting aside this screed about Anime, cultural appropriation, and how GamerGate spawned the Fourth Reich (OK?)—we're still going to continue using Anime and be far-right.
Anyway, I'd just like you to know that we also sit on things that could end the democracy that supports your Patreon lifestyle: #1 communist simply the best.
