Press TV has been an enduring presence among media outlets for a rather long time, as Iran’s English language news platform it didn’t tow the mainstream line, now Google has shut it down. Press TV was met with a notice indicating that its Google and YouTube account had been shuttered due to violating Google’s policies.

The move to censor Press TV comes as waivers for countries importing Iranian oil will no longer be renewed in May, following an announcement by the White House, causing a sudden spike in crude oil prices.
Countries continuing to import oil from Iran will now be subject to U.S. sanctions—recently Syria has been negatively affected by a similar move.
Press TV anchor Marzieh Hashemi was arrested by the FBI in January.
As Mintpress News reported, Iranian-Spanish outlet Hispan TV was also censored at the same time, allegedly due to an article about "Israeli experiments on Palestinians." The only problem is the article is based on testimony by a member of Israel's Knesset.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif responded to the latest round of gifts to Israel on Twitter.
