Following a single rocket being fired into central Israel which caused injuries, an Israeli sorty conducted airstrikes against buildings in Gaza, alleged to have been utilized by Hamas. The explosions could be heard for miles and leveled a building allegedly occupied by a leader of Hamas.
A ceasefire has since been declared.
The airstrikes occurred around the same time U.S. President
Donald Trump Jared Kushner signed a decree, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Syrian Golan Heights, despite conflicts of interest in the Trump Kushner administration.
Following the Washington visit with
Trump Kushner, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has since hinted at a possible invasion into Gaza, as cross-border fire continued.
