Huawei Technologies Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Meng Wanzhou, sometimes known by her Anime name Sabrina Meng, has been a source of significant political upheavel between Canada, China and the U.S. following her arrest in December and the diplomatic row that has resulted.
China has arrested a large number of Canadian citizens within her borders as extradition of Wanzhou to the U.S. lingers forward. China’s ambassador to Canada Lu Shaye also accused Canada of double standards and “White supremacy” in an op-ed.
U.S. President Donald Trump initially suggested using the arrest as leverage during trade negotiations with China.
Although the discussion has focused on topics such as Wanzhou’s status in Canada as a Chinese national, spying concerns, or Huawei circumventing sanctions on Iran—nothing has been said about the underlying interests behind the warrant itself.
Anime Right News can report based on past research into the same interests behind this warrant, that it was in fact issued due to Israeli intelligence, and their seemingly competitive involvement in 5G in the U.S.—particulary through the current White House.
This suggests a conflict of interest.
Note: Eastern District of New York issued the arrest warrant.
Donoghue was appointed as interim US Attorney in January, but was not formally nominated by US President Donald Trump. In May, Chief Judge Dora L. Irizarry said Donoghue would remain in the position until a permanent appointment is nominated by Trump and confirmed by the US Senate.
Chief Judge Dora Irizarry has previously prosecuted cases related to sanctions imposed on Iran. She was initially nominated to serve as a U.S. District Judge by former U.S. President George W. Bush in 2003, following a surprise run alongside former Governor of New York George Pataki.
Irizarry also issued an order to continue to hear and decide cases despite the government shutdown.
The allegations against the nominee, Dora Irizarry, a former Republican candidate for New York state attorney general whom the White House nominated for the judgeship at the urging of Mr. Pataki, surfaced as the Senate opened hearings on her nomination.
At the time of her nomination, the American Bar Association (ABA) considered Irizarry to be “unqualified,” but her appointment to the position proceeded anyway at a hearing held by the Senate Judiciary Committee with Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) as witness.
Former Congressman John Sweeney, a member of Pataki's Albany inner circle, led the lawyers overseeing the presidential transition period on the "Tiger Team"—including longtime IDT Corporation lawyer and Jared Kushner family friend Ira Greenstein.
Following the presidential transition, Greenstein worked in the Kushner-directed White House Office of American Innovation (OAI) while a Deputy Assistant and Strategist. The OAI is an office responsible for infrastructure policy and technology such as 5G.
During this same period of time, IDT's 5G spectrum portfolio held in Straight Path Communications Inc. was being bid on, despite previous securities fraud. Verizon won its bid over AT&T, for a record $3.1 billion, leading to its recent 5G roll-out in the U.S.
While in the OAI, Greenstein held shares in Straight Path, a conflict of interest.
IDT attempted to acquire Global Crossing in 2003, following the corporation's bankruptcy, using similar concerns regarding national security and China. IDT argued that foreign control, whether direct or indirect, does not serve the public interest.
However, IDT themselves are working with Israeli intelligence, through start-ups like Armis Security.
It doesn’t require any hardware and integrates seamlessly into any environment or existing infrastructure. Armis software deploys in under one hour, and companies see results in as little as 24 hours. That’s why customers, such as Samsung Research America, IDT Corporation, Gett and Baron Financial Group, see Armis as truly breakthrough.
Yevgeny Dibrov, founder and CEO, and Nadir Izrael, co-founder and CTO, are a strong co-founding team. They brought Armis out of stealth and began selling in June 2017.
Before then, Yevgeny was head of global business development for cloud security company Adallom, which was acquired by Microsoft. Nadir was senior software engineer and tech lead for Google Suggest, and he now steers Armis’ technology vision. Both served in the elite Israeli Cyber Security Defense Unit 8200. Their experience makes for a great blend of both commercial and technical leadership, and their broader team includes accomplished and experienced professionals across multiple disciplines.
Nadir Izrael was a Captain in Unit 8200.
Verizon will, coincidentally, be running trials with Samsung this year using the vast spectrum licenses acquired from the Straight Path acquisition.
Israeli Ministry of Communications Director Netanel Cohen also met with Verizon in New York in September of 2018, proposing that joint 5G trials should take place at Bar-Ilan University and also include Internet of Things (IoT).
The aforementioned Armis is also involved in IoT.
Bar-Ilan University is directly involved with Israeli intelligence, including Israeli SIGINT National Unit (ISNU) a/k/a Unit 8200 and notable alumni include current Mossad Director Yossi Cohen.
Anime Right News does not officially support the Communist Party of China, but opposes Israeli intelligence running rampant both stateside and abroad.
