John McAfee, widely considered the godfather of the antivirus software industry, has come out with not one—but two Anime avatars on Twitter. Posting a new avatar earlier today of Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop with the text “McAfee2020,” initially created by a fan who has also received employment from McAfee, he has since changed it to Joseph Joestar split between a portrait of himself on top of an American flag. McAfee, who was also in the news for Tweeting about “fucking whales,” is known for his eccentric behavior.
McAfee’s Twitter activity is pretty erratic. Earlier this week, he tweeted about having sex with whales, writing, “Some call me ‘Whale Fucker’. Alright. There’s a private club of a few dozen Maori men and one butch woman – that meet in Molokai each year to fuck a whale. True. Men on paddle boards herd the whale while one tries to fuck it. Wouldn’t let me in the club. Tried it alone. Epic fail.”
It all began with McAfee changing his Twitter avatar to one of Spiegel, which snowballed into a fury of excitement and irony from other Anime avatars on Twitter about the possibility of a real Anime POTUS.
Created by an Anime avatar turned millenial consultant, Yung Zoe (Zoe Nawar), first asked McAfee about running his social media millenial outreach team before being given the first task of choosing Anime avatars for him.
She said that she doesn't have the same politics as McAfee — she identifies as a communist — but is excited about the work.
Polls were held regarding the Anime avatar change(s):
McAfee has since responded to a variety of replies to his Tweet, some positive, some sarcastic.
Anime Right News would like John McAfee to know that we ironically support his presidential bid.
