Diane Hatton, a candidate for Trafford, Greater Manchester representing the Labour Party, had to step down from her running after bringing attention to two key political issues: Genie Energy and Israeli surveillance within her party. For these acts of dissent she was pursued by pro-Israel groups such as the Jewish Labour Movement after being reported.
Genie Energy is an Israeli-backed energy corporation based in Newark, New Jersey that drilled for oil and water in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights (Syria). As Anime Right News first reported, it had extensive influence within the Trump administration, making Theresa May’s bombing of Syria highly questionable.
One of the posts, which highlights the Strategic Advisory Board of Genie Energy, where Rupert Murdoch is a member—was used to lambast Hatton and issue complaints to Trafford’s Labour Party.
Hatton is not the first Labour politician to come under fire for talking about Genie Energy, Caroline Kolek was similarly targeted after pointing out Murdoch's interests in it, and how that relates to pursuing war in media he controls.
Another post had to do with the issue of Israeli spying within the Labour Party itself, which is in fact something that had occurred.
Anime Right News would like Diane Hatton to know that we support her in her struggle.
