UPDATE: One Israeli pilot has died.
Anime Right News (ARN) — An Israeli Air Force F-16 fighter has been shot down, after coming under defensive anti-aircraft fire from Syria, launched in response to IDF operations conducted against Iranian forces in Syria. The aircraft crashed in Harduf, Israel after being shot down.
Due to rockets sirens sounding it is not thought that the aircraft malfunctioned.
Two pilots ejected, with one sustaining severe injuries, most likely indicating that escape was not possible. This escalation follows Israel's downing of an alleged Iranian drone, which had entered airspace above the Golan Heights, which is Syrian territory that is illegally occupied by Israel.
Syria has stated that it registered 'multiple strikes' against aircraft.
The Israeli Air Force conducted numerous retaliatory strikes against Syria after the F-16 was shot down, with targets being hit in Damascus, as well as an Iranian command & control structure for conducting UAV operations. The strikes have been noted as the largest against Syria since 1982.
Israel, through political manipulation of the U.S. government, is currently extorting Syria of her resources with Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights — the most notable example of this criminal activity being the Trump administration's Ira Greenstein. A senior staffer in the White House directly involved in these matters.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israel will "counter Iran in Syria."
There is chatter that a substantial military buildup is now occurring in & around the Golan Heights.
