Anime Right News (ARN) — One of the most popularized aspects of #PizzaGate, is the business known as Comet Ping Pong, or Comet. Which some noted for the neon sign out front, which has crescents & stars on it.
But it didn’t actually originate with current owner James Alefantis.
Originally, the neon sign came from a business called Comet Liquors, which was owned by Jewish immigrants since 1940. In a little known blog/news post from Jewish Food Experience, we can ascertain some of the history regarding its existence, as well as the names of previous owners.
Before November, 2016, not very many people knew about it beyond Washington, D.C. locals.
1940-1980: Oscar Gildenhorn
1980-2005: Sidney Drazin
2005-2017: James Alefantis
The sign itself originated even further back to the 1930s according to known records.
The original sign owner from the early 1940s, Oscar Gildenhorn, is our main person of interest.
Like Alefantis, Gildenhorn was not just a merchant, but also an influential controller of local real estate being directly involved in Jewish political circles.
