Front Mission 1st: Remake, on sale now, shows its launch trailer

Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio have introduced the launch trailer of Front Mission 1: Remake on the new platforms. The remake of Square Enix’s classic turn-based strategy debuted on Nintendo Switch last November and is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

In the year 2090, global conflicts will be fought with giant war machines called Wanzern. As the only place where the Oceana Cooperative Union (OCU) and the United Continental States (UCS) share a border, Huffman’s Island is a hotbed of conflict. An OCU recon squad led by Captain Royd Clive is assigned to investigate a UCS ammunition facility. The squad is ambushed by several UCS buggers, leading to a series of events that engulf the entire island. Totally at war. Royd’s partner, Lieutenant Karen Meure, has been reported missing in action.

Roy leaves the army and sets out to find Karen’s fate. Her quest brings her ever closer conspiracy behind the incident and to the powers that have orchestrated it.

Another classic revived by Square Enix

front mission “He was one of the pioneers of the Japanese tactical role, but the years do not pass in vain,” we emphasize in our conclusions. “Front Mission 1: Remake Is A graphical improvement that does even more than we might expect of this kind of retro revisions, but is too conservative in gameplay and doesn’t dare touch the work of Square Enix. Occasionally this fidelity can be a positive, especially when the changes are for the worse, but in this case we think the design looks a bit dated and there was room to polish edges, refresh the UI and, in short, the final to create version of the classic.”

Front Mission 1st: Remake is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox on June 30th
